Econometrica will provide full cycle grants management support to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) on the Public Health Informatics & Technology (PHIT) Workforce Development Program across all four phases of the grants management life cycle. This includes working to provide grants management and operational support for at least 50 PHIT Awardees, supporting the automation of the grant awardee process, and evaluating the PHIT Workforce Development Program. Additionally, our team will work alongside ONC to provide technical and logistical support during the merit review process for reviewer training, document management, facilitating panel meetings, tabulating scores, and managing applicant feedback, funding decisions, and honoraria.
The PHIT program is designed to provide funding to institutions of higher education to expand existing programs or develop new programs that focus on training for public health informatics and technology to improve the nationwide public health workforce. Emphasis will be placed on engaging Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-serving institutions, Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions.
