Econometrica built two web-based e-learning courses over a 2-year period for the CDC Foundation’s Global Tobacco Control in a Changing Product Landscape and Evidence-based Strategies for Digital Media initiatives. The e-learning courses were 90 minutes each and include multimedia activities: Articulate Rise built-in interactive activities, motion graphics explainer videos, audiogram-animated subject matter expert voiceover video, animated GIFs, custom graphics, an embedded Prezi interactive explorer, embedded websites, embedded PDFs, and embedded SurveyMonkey interactions. For each e-learning course, we produced a 30-second GIF to assist in promoting the course. Econometrica worked closely with the CDC Foundation during all phases of course development to help ensure that both the content and style of the courses met audience needs.
In addition, Econometrica assisted the CDC Foundation with estimating the level of effort for the translation service, prepared the courses for translation, imported all course elements after translation, and worked with the CDC Foundation and the translation service to conduct reviews to ensure the accuracy and quality of the translations.
