Highlights of Technical Assistance Projects

PBV TRAINING FOR PHAs

TASK: Provided comprehensive project-based voucher (PBV) training curriculum for Public Housing Agencies (PHAs) in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Region 10.

RESULTS: Developed a 5-module, 8–10-hour training webinar curriculum with sample documents and additional materials, training over 32 PHA staff across 13 PHAs and their respective HUD Field Staff.

OKLAHOMA HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY HCV PROGRAM ORGANIZATIONAL REDESIGN

TASK: Review Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) operations and organizational structure.

RESULTS: Provided organizational, process, and procedural recommendations to improve efficiency, lighten the workload, maximize budget, retain staff, and enhance customer service.

Redesign of Asset Management for Housing Authority

TASK: Improve public housing authority troubled due to asset management.

RESULTS: Provided maintenance standard operating procedures (SOPs), changed work order/unit turn processes, and provided staff training for improved PHAs.
