Highlights of Program Support Projects

Capital Fund Guidebook Training

TASK: Assist the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the development of comprehensive Capital Fund training curriculum and supporting FAQs.

RESULTS: Developed a 5-module, live webinar curriculum and 11-module recorded vignette trainings that were conducted by HUD staff, as well as a set of FAQs.

HUD’s Funding Resource Navigator Database

TASK: Develop a database to enable the public to navigate funding opportunities in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL).

RESULTS: Developed a database that ultimately tracked more than 300 funding opportunity programs across the Federal government in a searchable format for ease of use.

HCV Program Redesign

TASK: Assist a troubled Section 8 Management Assessment Program (SEMAP) Public Housing Agency (PHA).

RESULTS: Analyzed the process and operational aspects of the PHA Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program that was causing HCV deficiencies and provided process tools, recommended changes, and training.

Choice Neighborhoods Newsletter

TASK: Develop and publish a monthly e-newsletter for program stakeholders.

RESULTS: Published more than 36 newsletters and 20 spotlight articles over 4 years, featuring specific Choice grantees and project best practices.

eVMS PUBLIC AND INDIAN HOUSING (PIH) PROGRAM SUPPORT

TASK: Assist with the rollout of the new Enterprise Management Voucher System (eVMS) to HUD staff.

RESULTS: Developed a training plan, guide, and communications and outreach plan, as well as an eVMS Desk Reference Guide.
