As the prime contractor, Econometrica will lead this AHRQ contract with our partner, Westat, Inc., to provide recommendations to inform the fielding of the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) beginning in 2020. Our work includes developing information to support two enhancements to the existing MEPS: (1) identifying effective methods to collect detailed information about the benefits covered by insurance plans from a variety of sources, and (2) assessing the feasibility of implementing a dual-frame sampling design to enable MEPS to focus on important subpopulations such as veterans and Medicaid recipients.

Econometrica will provide support services for the U.S. Economic Development Administration, the coordinating agency for the Recovery Support Function under the National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF). NDRF provides a structure for all Federal agencies to participate in ongoing disaster planning and recovery.

In this Blanket Purchase Agreement, Econometrica will provide on-demand expertise in economic recovery, economic resiliency, economic development, workforce development, economic analysis and research, and training, as the need arises.

Econometrica is conducting a project that analyzes the health and safety of transit workers and the costs associated with their health and safety for the Transportation Research Board of the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Econometrica will research cost estimates associated with health conditions and risks experienced by transit workers. Econometrica will conduct cost–benefit analyses of health promotion and protection programs at transit agencies. The analyses will measure the programs’ benefits, including savings from reduced absenteeism, turnover, and workers’ compensation payments, against their costs. These analyses will help identify programs that produce positive bottom-line effects for the fiscal health of transit agencies and the health of transit workers.

As a subcontractor to International Development Group LLC (IDG), Econometrica provides economic analysis and independent evaluation services in support of IDG’s post-project evaluations of the Mongolia North-South Road Project and the Roads and Bridges Activity in Cabo Verde for the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

For this effort, the team is gathering information needed to estimate the economic rate of return on MCC’s investment in these two projects, evaluate the current maintenance practices, determine who is traveling on the roads, and assess the transportation market structure.

As the monitoring contractor, Econometrica supported 33 Tribal Injury Prevention Cooperative Agreement Program (TIPCAP) grantees in 9 IHS Areas. Econometrica provided technical assistance and guidance in program planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and reporting. In addition, Econometrica provided training, promoted knowledge sharing, and conducted other skill-building activities to improve program capacity and injury prevention program sustainability.
