As the prime contractor, Econometrica will lead this AHRQ contract with our partner, Westat, Inc., to provide recommendations to inform the fielding of the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) beginning in 2020. Our work includes developing information to support two enhancements to the existing MEPS: (1) identifying effective methods to collect detailed information about the benefits covered by insurance plans from a variety of sources, and (2) assessing the feasibility of implementing a dual-frame sampling design to enable MEPS to focus on important subpopulations such as veterans and Medicaid recipients.

Econometrica performed economic research and analysis of NASA’s Earth Observation (EO) data. We conducted a supply–demand analysis of the commercial value of EO data and estimated the number of jobs dependent on EO data. In addition, we estimated opportunity costs and Government investment return.
