The Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a strategic business plan and identifying opportunities that will expand Econometric a’s core capabilities. The Data Analytics Director is also responsible for providing leadership and technical direction on the departments’ projects and proposal efforts.  As a member of the Executive Team this role will provide input into corporate initiatives and direction.


  • Responsible for implementing strategies that increase revenues and profitability by building strategic partnerships and identifying new areas of business expansion for Econometrica.
  • Provide project direction including serving as a project lead on group projects
  • Lead team members and delegate work activities to meet project deadlines.
  • Oversee all the Data Analytics Group’s proposals and project deliverables, timelines and manage budgets
  • Write and review technical and other sections of proposals (e.g., resumes, past performance, corporate capabilities statements) as requested.
  • Develop and implement analytical schema for complex primary (e.g., survey) and secondary (e.g., Census, medical claims) data.
  • Summarize data through various tabular and visual modes.
  • Conduct and interpret multivariate analyses examples, including regressions with various distributions and duration models.
  • Write and review technical and other sections of proposals (e.g., resumes, past performance, corporate capabilities statements) as requested.
  • Manage the activities of consultants or subcontractor experts on various proposals or projects.
  • Manage group project timelines, budgets, and work plans for work plan assignments
  • Develop effective relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Participate in all customer related meetings
  • Lead departmental meetings.

What You Can Bring to the Table:

  • Proven experience with developing new business opportunities, building a targeted pipeline, prospecting and working effectively with C-Level decision makers to develop long term strategic relationships.
  • Advanced expertise in a broad range of statistical techniques, including experimental design, hypothesis testing, and multivariate regression
  • Expert with manipulating large complex databases to track and evaluate patterns related to healthcare or other business processes.
  • Expert in a scripting language, such as Python or R.
  • Experience in using Business Intelligence (BI) and visualization tools, such as Tableau.
  • Knowledge about the regulatory and economic analysis industry.
  • Advanced SAS Certification.
  • Minimum of 10 years project management skills and experience with increasing levels of complexity and responsibility.
  • Minimum of 7 years of Contract project budgeting experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Team Leadership experience
  • Excellent communication skills and substantial writing experience, including experience with grant or proposal writing.


  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Business, Social Science, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics is preferred.
