According to the National Academy of Medicine (NAM), clinician burnout can lead to serious consequences, including medical error and clinician suicide. Focusing on improving clinician well-being improves the quality of the care team. In order to promote conversation around clinician well-being, NAM is asking artists to express what clinician burnout, clinician well-being, and clinician resilience looks, sounds, and feels like.

Last year, NAM used art as a way to promote conversations around health equity. NAM successfully involved participants from diverse communities across the United States. Artwork from the Visualize Health Equity project can be viewed online.
